Surviving strong wind in an RV

We're currently in Mexico Beach, FL, literally about 1000 steps from the beach, which is AWESOME. The drawback is that there are occasionally some strong wind gusts. Our first week here, we had winds up to 18 mph throughout a whole day! That obviously made me and all three of our fur babies seriously uncomfortable and we quickly did a lot of research on exactly how strong winds need to be to knock over a parked RV. (Here's a link to a report a bunch of scientist did titled: wind speeds required to upset vehicles)
After speaking to a bunch of natives that reassured us that these strong winds were completely abnormal for the area, we were relatively soothed. Now, 2 weeks later, my wife calls me on her lunch break to let me know that the winds are going to be ~30 mph starting around 3 pm and continuing until ~2 am. Sigh.
So here's the steps that I had to take to make sure we don't lose any parts of our setup. I went outside and made sure that everything outside our camper is secured. Down to the firewood. I then had to make sure that all of our vents were closed & secured & all windows closed (I open those things and totally forget to close them...a lot).
My next step was to frantically search *again* to make sure we weren't going to end up in Oz. After I assuaged my fears, I started letting the dogs out often as I know those little suckers aren't going out in a storm. I also checked local weather often and watched the radar to make sure we aren't getting any surprise tornadoes - and will continue to monitor this for the rest of the night. Now, I've given the dogs a calming tablet, I've got a beer in my hand and Trolls on Netflix and, to use a Louisiana term, am "hunkerin' down."
Cheers! :)
EDIT:
Here's a video of what the waves looked like on the day the winds were 18 mph!
