About Us & Why We Decided to Do This Thing!

Hi there! We are Meagen (left) and Chelsea (right) West and we are both from Louisiana. We got married on 11.12.2017 and have three fur babies.  In 2016 we were sitting on the back porch of our first house and Chelsea jokingly asked if I would ever consider living in a camper to travel and see the world. Life kept on going, and we kept the idea in the back of our heads as a wish - nothing more than a daydream. At the beginning of 2017, Chelsea was offered a great work opportunity and we sold our first home in Louisiana and moved to Mississippi! I never thought I'd leave the state of Louisiana, so just going to another state was a big step out of my comfort zone. We kept talking and dreaming of our "Camper Life" over the next year there, even keeping a Pinterest board of all of our ideas of how we'd remodel our dream camper.

At the end of 2017, we were blessed and realized we actually had the means to really do this crazy nomad camper life and we haven't looked back since! We rented our home in Mississippi, bought a used 2007 Copper Canyon and moved back to Louisiana to remodel it. It took us about 10 months (and I say "us" but really Chelsea did most of the work) of blood, sweat & tears to finish it, but now we have the most perfect tiny home. We built this website for family and friends to be able to see the transformation of our tiny home and to be able to follow along on this crazy journey we've embarked on!
